Journal Cites Growing International Opposition to 'Tax-and-Trade'
The Wall Street Journal, in an editorial published today but written before Australia's Senate voted down carbon cap-and-trade legislation, said that expected vote, postponement of cap-and-trade bills in the U.S. Senate, and the likelihood that the Copenhagen climate summit would not result in a successor to the Kyoto Protocols indicated a global revolt against the theory that human activity is the driving force behind climate change. Opposition also focused on new taxes, whether in the form of cap-and-trade or a carbon tax, said the Journal.
